It’s 2019 and the gaming industry is gearing up to host one of its biggest events of the year. With SONY and EA games hosting their own press conferences we take a look at some of the new games making their debut to consoles.
Cyberpunk 2077: A role-playing video-game developed and published by game studios CD Projekt, will be release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The idea of the video game stems from the 1988 tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020. The video-game takes place fifty-seven years later in the suffering Night City, California. The open world game will consist of six distinct regions that the player can explore in a single-player campaign. In a first-person perspective, players can take the role of a mercenary who can reach fame in three character classes by applying experience points to their character.
Gears of war 5: The upcoming third-person shooter developed by game studios The Coalition will take on their first female lead in the series. The game will be published by Xbox Game Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One as well as Xbox Play which is an xbox streaming library. This is the sixth installment of the Gears of War series and the sequel to Gears of War 4. The game is scheduled to be released sometime in 2019.
Halo infinite: Master Chief returns in the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries, Halo Infinite was revealed at the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing with a thrilling demo that provides a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise, leading it into new and unexpected open-world directions.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order: The single-player action-adventure video game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts(EA), is set in the Star Wars universe shortly after Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 15, 2019.
Session: An upcoming skateboarding video game developed by Montreal indie developer Crea-ture Studios will be released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. It is expected to come out in late 2019. The project was successfully funded via Kickstarter in November 2017, within three days of its opening from the supporters of the Skate series.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps: An upcoming platform-adventure game developed by Moon Studios and published by Microsoft Xbox Game Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. It is a sequel to the 2015 title Ori and the Blind Forest.
DOOM Enternal: An upcoming first-person shooter developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One as the fifth main title in the Doom series and a sequel to 2016’s Doom.
Skull and Bones: This is an upcoming action video game developed by Ubisoft Singapore and published by Ubisoft for release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game revolves around piracy and naval warfare.
Beyond Good and Evil 2: This is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft. It is a prequel to Beyond Good & Evil released in 2003.
Pokemon: Sword and Shield: are upcoming role-playing video games developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.
Animal Crossing Switch: is a social simulation video game series developed and published by Nintendo. The player character is a human who lives in a village inhabited by anthropomorphic animals, carrying out various activities including fishing, bug catching, fossil hunting, etc. The series is notable for its open-ended gameplay and extensive use of the video game consoles’ internal clock and calendar to simulate the real passage of time.
Control: is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by 505 Games. The game revolves around the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), a secret U.S. government agency tasked with containing and studying phenomena that violate the laws of reality. As Jesse Faden, the Bureau’s newest Director, players explore the Oldest House – the FBC’s paranormal New York headquarters – and utilize powerful abilities in order to defeat a deadly enemy known only as the Hiss, which has invaded and corrupted reality. Control is set to be released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Dying Light 2: is an upcoming survival horror action role-playing video game developed and published by Techland. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and is the sequel to Dying Light (2015).
Luigi’s Mansion 3: This is the upcoming title in the series, releasing for the Nintendo Switch in 2019.
Borderlands: This is an upcoming action role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software, and the fourth main entry in the Borderlands series. It is to be released on September 13th, 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The Outer Worlds: The Outer Worlds is a role-playing video game featuring a first-person perspective. In the early stages of the game, the player can create their own character and unlock a ship, which acts as the game’s central hub space. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Private Division. The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2019.
